Birds
I got the idea to ask this after watching How Clean Is Your House, where they visited a woman with pet budgie things... and such... poll ^

I used to have pet birds, one died of hunger, and the other got away when the cage plummeted 2 stories off my roof. (Don't ask)

We had birds.....in a cage. They pooped all over the floor is we gave them away. I don't really have a problem with it though. I don't like dogs in cages.

I had a bird...named Sunny...*random*

I had a bird...named Sunny...*random* Sunny? That's a nice name...

Yes very cruel. A cage is simply not the right place for a bird. Birds should be out in the sky hanging on trees and eating worms, but to me it mainly depends on how they're treated. If they're treated pretty well, the cage is clean, and they have descent attention and care then I wouldn't mind having a pet bird, but otherwise I wouldn't have a pet bird. If you're going to have pets whether they be birds or not you have to realize if you'll be responsible to them otherwise don't have pets. :)

I had a bird...named Sunny...*random* Sunny? That's a nice name... Thanks...he was yellow...hence...the name...(it was either that or Tweety)

Nopes...not if you give them plenty or room..it's only cruel if you shove them in something so small they can't move

Depends on the bird...I don't think the little ones care much.

I hate it when people shove big parrots or african grays into cages. They're just too big for cages, they need an aivary at the least if you're going to keep them as pets, preferably outside too. But small ones don't really care, if you give them the right things they need then they're happy with it. It's also best to have two at the same time so they don't get lonely, and can still mate. =)

I think it is for those large tropical birds that end up plucking their feathers out because of it. I think if it's a little bird and a decent size cage, then it's no biggie.
